Moving on................. It's as good as done. (awaiting air filter, then the tank can go back on) Front end off this morning, headstock out, clean check and re-grease the bearings. All looked well, plenty of grease in there, so again this bike has had a charmed life. Scaffold and stand... I put some 15w back in to the same amount, tried my 10mm spacer but didn't like the feel of it, so I took it out again. All back on. Forks feel much better now, a lot less bounce with more control. After putting the front fairing and headlight back on, I tried the indicators and all the lights, front right indicator wasn't working. Turned out to be the earth on the fitting itself. Couldn't be taken apart so I had to cut a notch in it and resolder to the body. Not pretty as it was a fiddly fucker, but it works, and now sealed up. Has cleaned up really well, has been a lot of work but worth it, as it's turned out a nice looking bike. Just need to see it it rides ok and get it mot'd. Happy days.

Done a really good job there fella , A good bike saved and back on the road and brill interesting build thread Thanks mate, only the test ride left to see if it's all good. The tyres are still good, front is almost new and maybe a 1000 miles left on the back. Not a big fan of Dunlops, but I have a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 3's I could stick on it anyway so not too bothered. They would be good to stick on towards the end of the summer for the wetter months. It also means I have a bike that takes the same size tyres as my zook, so I can use up the tyres that the zook wears out on the edges.
