Rear caliper is also toast, piston and seal kit needed. The brakes have been the most expensive layout on this bike, but they're one thing I never like to scrimp on. Just need to get it off the bench now, so I can whip the forks off and change the oil, bike is all but ready baring that. Rear end was back on today, but mostly cleaning stuff as I put it back on. A bit more painting bits and bobs today, but overall it's looking very good, well pleased with the result. Then MOT the old girl.

Bike is off the bench now, front brakes back on and had the first bleed through, going to leave it for a few days for the air to settle then bleed again. Had to drill out the pivot pin for the front brake master cylinder/lever, what a bastard that was. The pin was fused to the lever and turning with it, so making the lever feel heavy and hard work. Managed to drill and drift it all out without damaging the surrounding material, all back together now. Probably get the forks off tomorrow and change the oil, look at the steering head bearings too. Then, that's about it, the whole bike sorted and ready for the off.

You keep on saying that's it then you crack on with another fettle lol I forgot a couple of things along the way, but after the forks/stem bearing check it really will be it. Unless anything shows up in the first ride out.

Hayabusa packs a much harder punch but I still love the big Kwaks. Got some very happy memories of my ZZR11. Great bike.
The one I always wanted was the 1000RX. Not as quick but a real snub nose brute of a bike.
ZZR still has enough top end to get you in a LOT of trouble... LOL
