I don't know how you are removing the bolts mate but heat, plus gas & tightening a little before removing usually works I'm using the favoured 2 nuts trick, tried heating the casing up but I've only got a diy butane burner and that didn't work, my mates got a burner with yellow bottled gas so gonna give that a go at some point, using plenty of penetrating fluid as well. The 2 that are left are rusted in, I've left them soaking for a couple of days and have another go tonight.

Have you tried put a weld on top so nuts won't budge Haven't got a welder, neither has anyone I know around here. Have thought about turning the nuts down on the stud, then smashing the top of the stud so the nuts can't come off, then release the nuts back up till they get stuck on the newly clouted head and tighten them up against each other then try and undo them. I reckon heat is my best bet so may try a combination of all of this and hopefully that should do it.

And does the length of exhaust have an effect on performance?? I always wonder why everyone has near on no exhaust?? Turbo dont need exhaust length to create back pressure, builds up in the turbo

Shit, bollocks, aaarrrrhhhhhh tried to get this last stud out the weekend and it sheared off in the block !!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: It had sheared flush with the engine block, so left it for a couple of days so I could calm down and went back out there this evening. Managed to drill out the stud after a while and now I've ordered a thread insert and a thread tap. Now that's done I decided to cut the drain pipe inside the tank to use as my fuel return. Tanks been emptied and vented for about a week so just a hacksaw blade and voilà pipes cut and drain hole bunged up. Started on the front end wiring that had been shoved under the tank when someone decided to fit those stupid twin lamps up front. Found a couple of Dodgy wiring jobs which I've now made safe and removed said lamps. When I got the bike the Speedo's mileage reset knob was missing presumed snapped, Decided to remove the speedo for ease of access so took off the chrome bowl off the back and was met with this .... Looks like someone used as a baseball and busted it to bits then thought shit I need that and rebuilt it with odd bits of metal and plastic.
