The thread on this bit seams ok so it must be the bit on the carb. I shall find a nut that fits and jb weld or araldite it to the carbs. Get it done properly mate, otherwise your storing up future troubles.

Not sure Sussex is close enough lol Was in Sussex last week looking at a Bandit, May even go back and swap it for the gsxr yet so you never know. If you need to balance your carbs desperately I could post the carb tune to you so long as I get it back? [/quote] They do desperately need doing but I probably won't get the time to do it before Christmas...would be cool if your heading over this way to lend a hand as I've never balanced carbs before lol

Balancing my carbs is something that mine desperately need I've got a set of Morgan carb tunes and an auxiliary fuel tank and if anyone's close to Hampshire, UK I would be willing to pop round and give a hand with balancing their carbs. Also willing to lend a hand should anyone be local and needs help. Likewise, I've got the same kit in Leicestershire if anybody needs their's doing. I've got a few other bits of useful kit to if anybody needs help (lathe taps, dies, helicoil kit etc. Sorry but I'm not up for posting stuff (not you, don't trust the Post Office) but if you're local.

If you need a hand Paddy and your only down the road in Southampton I could pop round and balance your carbs but your need to keep the bike running and get it up to temp before they can be balanced.

Top man, once i have the throttle idle screw sorted I will take you up on that offer thanks, if you have anything dirty (no not mags, dvd's or your underwear) I can dunk it in my ultrasonic cleaner whilst we balance them. What is your biscuit of choice?

If you tap it out to M6 you can use a bolt for the time being and balance your carbs.
