My slabby was a bitch coz it would not run, Two summers have gone by and I had no fun. Them stupid bloody carbs they have fried my brain, so I had to persist try and try again. Then along came bigken and bluedog too, we had a little chat told me what to do. I filled her up with fuel to see if she would go, oh what joy now the fuels begun to flow
I CAN start this

The thread on this bit seams ok so it must be the bit on the carb. I shall find a nut that fits and jb weld or araldite it to the carbs.

The adjuster is a M5 thread but it's a finer pitch than normal, probably 0.5mm rather than 0.8. Is the thread in the carb body definitely fubar ? I think you best option may be to tap the fooked hole out to M6 and use a nice stainless allen bolt or get a nice man with a lathe to make you a new adjuster in M6. The coarser thread will make the tickover more sensitive to adjust but it will sort the problem. Nice to hear it running.

I'd need to double check. It will screw in without the spring but any pressure just pushes it back out

Sounds a lot like mine does on idle...the carbs do make lots of noise...
Have you had them balanced at all?
Really glad that you've got it going...finally lol

Really glad that you've got it going...finally lol Only statically using an Allen key and getting all the slides just nipping it at the same time. Quite a few people have said when checking after this method it was pretty darn spot on. I have £100 birthday money still to spend so I could get some morgan carbtunes

Balancing my carbs is something that mine desperately need I've got a set of Morgan carb tunes and an auxiliary fuel tank and if anyone's close to Hampshire, UK I would be willing to pop round and give a hand with balancing their carbs. Also willing to lend a hand should anyone be local and needs help.

Not sure Sussex is close enough lol[/quote] Was in Sussex last week looking at a Bandit, May even go back and swap it for the gsxr yet so you never know. If you need to balance your carbs desperately I could post the carb tune to you so long as I get it back?
