I might have some bigger mains if you want em mate, Ill have a root around for you Cheers but tried 140's and it was too rich so went to 136 still too rich. 132's and it runs good. Oh, well Bluedog was closest but I was in the correct hundreds lol. What psi was that at in the end 16psi but going to go up to 18 only because I can't find a 20psi spring at the moment.

Well went on the dyno and its a lot less than I thought it was gonna be so need more boost. Went from 110 mains to 132's 170 BHP and 97.3 lbs of torque all at the rear wheel, which isn't bad but far less than I was expecting. My sons got a video on his phone of the bike on the dyno so will get that off him at some point. That torque is still enough to tear your arms off though Yes, it pulls like a rocket with that torque, some serious pull on boost.

First things first and before you get all disappointed and start cranking up the boost. what do other bikes make on the same dyno ? Some dyno's are a little stingy and others seem to be set up to give big numbers. According to those figures you're barely getting more bhp/ltr than my old tuned CB125. Running 16lb boost you should (in theory) be getting about twice the normally aspirated bhp. I'd start by checking everything else such as, timing (valve and ignition), compression ratio, carb size, boost gauge accuracy. On the plus side, It didn't blow up. BTW. I'll take a packet of Bourbons as my prize ( not that 45bhp out is exactly close). PS. Can't say I'm a fan of readouts that give road speed rather than rpm.

I can't understand that , but to be honest I don't believe dyno read outs as long as it pulls your foreskin back that's good , mine did 160 on 3 cylinders at 11 psi but then again I'm going go to 2 dynos back to back see if they are a load of bollocks

This is the first turbo bike he's had on the dyno so bit hard to compare. He done my other Bandit and it was within 4bhp of other people's with same mods done on different dyno's. I know the BHP isn't what I was expecting but the torque is good. I've lowered the compression by putting busa pistons in but never done a test on them. Maybe I'll start there. Some retard the ignition but mines stock. Don't get me wrong I'm happy but was expecting more but my figures have come from an accumulation of stock piston BHP and busa pistons fitted to allow for more boost. When it's boosting its like a freight train and requires me to really hold on.

This is weird, whilst at work sat in my van I was thinking biscuits for the winner, maybe bourbons?

The biggest loss on a dyno is the rear tyre, I suspect that is exaggerated with a turbo motor, the rate at which it winds up will lose grip at the rear for sure, which drops the figures. I wouldn't worry about the numbers either, that seems to run really well right through the range, enjoy it bud, nice job.

Just ordered a glycerine filled boost gauge to get a more accurate boost reading, the one I've got, the needle flutters too much. Also gonna do a compression test as well just to see where it's at.

Just watched the vid that my friend goes well , that is over 200 easy The torque on this bike is unreal, when I say I really have to hold on tight I'm not exaggerating. My other Bandits got 77lbs of torque and this has 97lbs and boy what a difference.

That appears very powerful to me. What a beast. I thi k you will be pissing of a lot of modern litre bikes

Yep. even me old zook has got 90ftlb of torque with a mere 133bhp.

It's running good and honestly I wouldn't believe the figures on bhp anyway due to lots of facts is the dyno calibrated , have the right parameters been set in and like quazi said rear tyre exceeding grip on the roller
