Slim, the cams that came out are very good condition, its just the rocker arms on one side of the head that are goosed, i will be changing the cams anyway so not worried about them, just after replacement rockers. Just been on Robinsons Foundry Suzuki parts Finder, and bandit 12, GSXR11 & 750 all use part No 12840-27A01, so i will just swap the ones from my bandit head into the 750 head dont you just like Suzuki interchangability that will save me some time and cash

have now got the head completely stripped down ready for blast cleaning. all looks good except for inlet valve seat surface!! appears like someone has had a go at re cutting the seats, but has left judder markes in most of the seats, will see about borrowing a seat cutter to clean them up, then lap the valves in.

How would valve seats get them marks?? Probably by very bad usage of a valve seat cutter!! looks like they did it too fast and caused "Chatter" marks, then didnt lap the valves in very well, if at all

sorted out the swing arm, (after taking around 1 hour to find the moisture seal for the pivot that i forgot where i had stored in a safe place!!! old age setting in) fitted new s/steel chain adjuster nut/bolts, fitted bearings, re fitted paddock stand lifters. greased everything up, fitted to bike after cleaning up the pivot bolt end (needed reducing in length, so its end was flush with nut) , checked fitment of shocks. will re fit the caliper and torque arm tonight along with the under seat tail brace. need to look into what number plate lamp i am going to fit.

I'm with Slim on the seat. I like the look of the Z1100R Lawson rep. My Bandit's seat was a little "flat" so a mate put more of a step in it for me. The pain / decal / strips running along the seat doesn't really work for me. Reminds me of the drag Busa's with the 12" over swing arms and tails stretched to match. Great to see it still evolving Steve. I wish Suzuki built them to your standard !

cheers for that Tony, yep the seat will be going allong the same lines as your bandit, raised slightly and flattened for the pillion (as per my last pic) I wont be going with any colour/stripping on it. i do like this though
