As the sun was out again (shock!!) we went out on Sunday afternoon for a bimble round the Dales. went through Richmond to Hawes, stopped for a brew at the pennygarth cafe, then down to Masham for another stop, before returning home via Bedale. she ran nice and smooth without fault, no leaks or smoke, its only a little thing, but I will be happier once i have a Pingel tap fitted, so i once again have a reserve fuel position, just for the comfort factor. still need to set the speedo, showing 30 on the dash is in reallity somewhere around 40 on the road, might end up getting me a ticket if i forget!!

As it was (almost) pay day yesterday, I went and ordered my Pingel fuel tap. hope it wont take too long to get here, then i will see if it will fit in the OEM position, or weather i am going to need to re position it to in front of the carbs, probably not a big job, but one i could do without if i can get away with it. alternative is to fit stacks and soft filters ( Ram air) to give the required clearance for the tap and hoses. dont want to have to go down this road as it is more cost for little gain.

having looked at the depth of the pringel i am still going to have clearance issues with it fitted in the stock position, fitting it so it sits between head and carbs looks to be my best option.
I am going to have a test fit with my spare tank to see how things stand.
