For those of you who remember my slingshot project on the old site, before I packed my handbag and left, I will endeavour to carry on with it on this forum to hopefully have it finished by spring 2016. Not really done much to it in the last few months , busy with other projects. The bike is up and running , just a few things left to do before iam happy. Things left to do are Do the electrics , modern switch gear and tidy up the loom, modern clocks Paint Sort out some adjustable sus linkages. maybe some fancy rearsets if I can get some o/t in
I will put up pics in the next few days

K2 thou clocks paddy, still thinking about how to get the speedo to work whilst keeping the fluid clutch. Dont want the sensor showing , might see if I can take it off the back wheel.

Wasn't there a conversion to use the sensor of a srad on the sprocket

Dont know about the srad, ive a mk2 600 bandit sprocket cover with sensor and a castled style sprocket nut of a kwak, but that puts it to cable on it, and i want to keep the present uprated setup. The joys of building your own bike.

The later model B12 has a speedo pick up on the sprocket cover and runs a hydraulic clutch.

I'll just check on my Mk1 B12 with an electric speedo and hydraulic clutch. Yep, bolts straight on.

Did the speedo pickup work off the sprocket nut or was there an attachment? only asking as ive got an offset sprocket to cope with a 190 rear wheel from a k6 1000, have to figure if it will foul on the cover

There is a castellated trigger thing that bolted on via a bolt into the gearbox output shaft but................. B12's don't have the threaded hole so I welded it to the nut.
I don't know how you'll get on with clearance, I run a standard size 5.5 rim and a 180 tyre.

I converted my Mk1 B12 to run GSXR600 clocks. Fitted Mk2 1200 sprocket cover, brazed castellated sensor to sprocket nut as output shaft not drilled for bolt. Modified loom and fitted Speedo Healer to calibrate new clocks. All works fine apart from Chec stays lit due to lack of F1 system and fuel light not connected.
