I know Suzuki have had money issues since the GFC and in the US but they are on the up again. To see them back in MotoGP was a good sign.
Suzuki and Kawasaki have always been the two that wanted the big hitter glory. GS750, GS1000, Z900, Z1000, GSX1100, GPZ9, 1000RX, ZZR1100, GSXR11, Hayabusa, ZX12R, ZX14 etc etc.
Hopefully Suzuki will hit back. Their line up at the moment isn't that great. The Busa is becoming dated, the New GSX1000 naked isn't competitive against its competition.
With a history of great bikes, Katana's, ET's, EFE, GSXR's, Gen-1 Busa, TL1000S/R there's not much on a Suzuki showroom floor that will blow the competition away anymore.
If Kawasaki up the game then I hope to see something special from Suzuki in return.

Suzuki have had a few concept bikes and prototypes but don't seem to be going for the "heavy hitters" One that got shown around was based on a 600cc twin that was making 100hp. Sounds good, but your just using high tech and money to get what a bigger cc bike has had for 35 years, although it would be in a smaller lighter package.

From 1980 up untill about 2008 there has always been a new Suzuki on my "wish list".
Now when I'm in a Suzuki dealership I head for the spares counter and find no interest in the showroom. The 1250 Bandits are tame, the GSXR1K is much the same as everyone else's sporty 1K's, there is no top end naked bike, the current Busa is a lightly modded 1999 design, there nothing that stands out as a "Bloody Hell, I want one!!!" type bike. Even the GSX14 has gone whilst Yam and Kwak still build the XJR and ZRX for some markets.
