I need to do this job, but I've been told that the can needs to be removed, which I don't want to do.
Can anyone guide me on the process on a GSX1250FA please

Depends how dirty the caliper is...would a good squirt of a decent brake cleaner not do the job?

Not sure, but surely it would need some coppaslip on would it not?

Have you not got enough room to just take the pads/pins out or is the exhaust blocking all access to the caliper?

Put the bike on a stand (centre or paddock) so the wheel is off the ground. Remove wheel and unclip brake hose from any guides. This should give you enough space to do just about anything on the caliper without disconnecting it from the hose.
