Get it bought it's a investment they will only grow in value £800 rip his fucking arm off! fully sorted one will get you 4-6k all day long, they will only go up in value and will be worth every penny you put into it. |

I didn't mean to buy but as a price guide. That one looks 100 times better condition. He's actually watching this bike aswell and this one has a solo seat cowel and a bellypan.

It seems a common issue if the crank needs rebuilding is the left inner web crank pin (whatever that is) is usually fooked and they are basically impossible to get. I don't want to have to have such problem as ill just think sod it and get rid.
ok just found a parts diagram and the right crank pin is a separate and replaceable item whereas the left is part of the web. My mates has a rattle and could that rattle be a worn pin or would that be a knock? I really need to go and listen. Maybe I should do it this week. |

A crank pin can be machined up no problem, an Engineering shop worth their salt could be able to do it one eyed.  |

Ok bud, it's the half web and pin, if things become unobtainable somebody generally starts small production runs at a price obviously, so I wouldn't let that put you off. It would be a pretty catastrophic failure to knacker that part of the crank.  |

Yea, just reading a few threads on guys stripping down the engine to find its worn. As it has a rattle this will need looking at and I'm doing my usual of thinking worse case scenareo. I'm having to knock rc heli's on the head if I'm to go ahead with this. Kind of feel bad as my mate was meant to be borrowing it but he said its fine but I'm taking his summer away lol.

Gona go round his tomorrow afternoon (because he's on benefits stays up very late) armed with cash and make him an offer. My mate reckons he'll take the offer when he see's my £20's. Was going to go round this morning but he dont get up till around 1pm. Can't go round today as taking my mum out for a 65th birthday meal. Hopefully by tomorrow evening I'll own an RG250. Just got the little issue of getting it home? I get my van back on Friday but it will be full (best day's are Wednesdays as its more empty). I have a van outside but its only big enough for a Childs scooter lol. Will have to see if my mate can stick it on his bike trailer.
I'd like to get the 350ypvs engine from him instead of it being sat in a tdr 125 which he'll never finish. Been watching a yamagamna video on a track day and DAM that thing is quick and looks awesome fun wheelie ing effortlessly out the hairpin and sounds amazing too.
