Starting a new job on Monday. It's a small shop. I get a brand new machine. Get a seat of MasterCam to program with. They gave me full benefits, 3 weeks holidays, no shift work.
So I took a couple days off before I start at the new place.

I have no idea what that means?? I do know I get 5 weeks holiday though, full pay when sick for about 2-3 months, dont work weekends, finish around 2-3pm. No travel costs, light occasional use of my lwb Citroen relay. But money is shit, pay freeze since Feb 07 .

Good luck with the new job bud. Jobs, now there's a thing. Whatever you do only do what you're happy with or what you can get away with. I've only been in my present job for 18 months, the bit that gets me is the American Capitalist nature of they way they earn money, lots of it! It's an easy-ish job made difficult by all the bullshit paperwork and "ongoing personal development and integrity" requirements. It is owned by an American group who owns a collection of very large companies, turns them around, makes them profitable in the true American style and stresses the hell out of everybody in the process. Other than that, I'm living the dream.

Well, I gotta live while I'm working on my business. So if somebody is going to offer me a better deal than I'll make out like a bandit and take what I can get. I've never had full benefits, and with the wife not working and 4 kids, yea, I could use the extra help. I've been in the trade for 22 years so I don't think 3 weeks holidays per year is asking too much. Carry on!
