coppers hate lying !!! I got a tug when I was out in my rs escort .I was on the city bypass in Edinburgh one sunday afta when I came across some old bag driving about 40mph in the outside lane a quick check in the mirrors too see if the inside lane was clear and I headed there only to have the old bastard do the same .I had to smash the brakes on to avoid here and had a quick glance at the outside lane in which a shitbox fiesta was moving to stop me getting out of a crash situation .I had no choice but to go for it and get in the outside lane !! and as these pair o cunts in the fiesta didn't want to let me in or see what was happening I went for it and hit them with the middle finger and smoked the bastards lol when I looked in the mirror I saw the headlights on the fiesta flashing and little blue lights flashing I went round this rounabout and carried on for about a mile then pulled over as I knew I was fucked anyway . that fat coppers got out and rushed me cuffing me one cunt had his hand on the back of my head which was on the bonnet until the traffic got there then they went over my rs like a rash . the fat lying copper told me since I pulled over he would reduce my charge to careless. I received my citation throught the post and court hearing for dangerous driving . thank god I had a good lawyer who ripped the coppers to shreds the shit the came out with was unbelievable 1 was doing 120mph the car they had was a 1.1 fiesta with no caliberated speedo 2 my rs was on two wheels going around the roundabout lol 3 my rs was white when it was red when my lawyer questioned the cooper he started stuttering and went red in the face lol didn't stop the judge from giving me 8pts though and £500 fine  |

another was my old z1000 Lawson rep when I got chased by a buttie I smoked them on it and lucky for me my no plate was wrong but the still found me after a few weeks also lucky for me the bike was advertised in the local paper at the time. I had to go to the local nick to get interviewed and one of them was a wpc who hated bikes lol when I told them there was a guy who had come the bike and had been gone a while and when he came back he left in a hurry she didn't believe me lol she wanted to know his name what car he had age etc when I replied ive no idea she almost flipped I don't think I helped by being a smart arse by sticking my feet on the table and humming tunes to myself lol

After 20 odd years of not having a clean licence and being banned through totting up a few times, I learnt to looked ashamed and be apologetic . last pionts were 2002, been pulled loads,bike is always up together and clean-ish. pulled 3 times in last 2 years for being a bit throttle happy, and after being told to calm down a bit and take it slower, been let go.  |

On balance over the years, I can't say I have a problem with them. I got busted once by a lying tw*t but he only got away with it because I was 18 and naive.
There has been the odd smart arse but they tend to back off when you are polite but don't fall for their little traps such as "so, how fast were you going ?"
You normally now before a word is said if the "pull" is justified and can manage the conversation accordingly while remaining polite.
Traffic cops are by far the best and a well turned out bike and manners can turn a 140mph tug into " would a fixed penalty for 93mph be ok Sir ?"
I once got pulled for "going too fast round a roundabout" on a CB100, that was a interesting conversation.
