I've had stuff off him before, he's not the cheapest but he had what I wanted. Everything was in good condition and it arrived clean, well packed and quickly.

I'm 5' 11 3/4 see that's how unlucky I am, I got robbed 1/4 inch. 6ft in slippers.
Anyhow I've been thinking I'm not sure now that I wont to do this. I dont NEED it just want it to annoy 750 riders and to wheelie easy. However mines -1 at the front but I was way down on compression back then so I have no idea how what it's like to ride now. I can always go 1 up in the rear aswell (that's rusty's cue to respond) although top end suffers doing this.
I cant afford to lose my licence either. Maybe just stick with extra bodywork and new paint. What I would benefit from though is a second bike with crash bungs to go out and improve my riding skills. And use the slabby for riding around with my yea look at me head on.
My mate is thinking of getting a cheap 600 srad coz it's light and revvy and thinks I should get one too.

There are differences with our engines tho pad in that yours is pretty much standard whereas mine isn't but in all honesty...it's still gonna put a big grin on your face:-) Btw...600srad is a great wheelie bike;-)

I can't help you with the 1052 but a B12 is 230mm from the base gasket face to the top of the cam box ( in the same area in relation to the fuel tap as the photo). Is your motor a "DOT" head ? If so, you could get a B12 motor, fit your head and select whichever camscarbs/pipe give the power characteristics you want. From what I've read, the swap requires the tank to be lifted slightly.
However, given all you've been through and the stage you're at now................... I'd stick with finishing the Slabby.
NB: The engine I measured is under the bench and I'm not up to dragging it out at the moment but I think the measurement is pretty accurate.

I've been having a long think, weighing up the pros and cons and I think as I have permission I'll get possibly a srad 600 and my mate is looking at getting one too. That'll be my hack bike and hopefully break my trak day cherry. I think that's the wise option. Keep the slab as is for my own smug self gratification when riding along past all those who wish they had one too lol.
