Stock B-King out of the crate, brand new, whisper quiet pipes, beat a Gen-2 V-Max and a Turbo Rocket 3 (twice) at the drags. Beat a few V-Max on the Busa. Not over impressed with them. Heavy, don't launch that well.

They're ALL heavy... I wouldn't put a B-king in the same class as any cruiser. They are waaay cooler

Bec is a local girl. She rolled up at Willowbank (out local drag strip) on a borrowed B-King. She wasnt real familiar with the bike, but she's light and has shit hot reactions. 100% stock bike. Even had the mirrors still on, few practice runs and she pulled a genuine 9.9 !!! Full height, factory (crap) tyres, all showroom spec. motoaus.com/road/road-bike-features-and-reviews/suzuki-b-king-ridden-and-raced-review/At the same meet mine was still stock, I pulled the mirrors off as they were pissing me off spinning around. I ran a few 10.3's. At that track, on that day / weather / heat and prep, none of the "muscle cruisers" were running those sort of times.

I actually heard a reason yesterday... sitting having brekky at the Pitstop Cafe on Mt Mee (quite a popular brekky spot for riders here) and a few guys riding these behemoths sat down at the table next door.
Couldn't help but overhear their conversation and one guy asked the other why he bought his Boulevard.
The answer was basically he test rode a $27,000 Harley which he loved but couldn't afford, so he got the Boulevard.
Each to his own I guess, he was adamant that he wanted a cruiser...

I know guys who have had Sportsbikes, retro's, tourers etc but other purely want a cruisers. They seem set on that style of bike. Hardley Dangerous as a brand are quite smart. They now make 500cc learner legal Harley's to grab new riders and Remove the risk of them being lured into the Jap / Euro bike market. Folk will buy an awful little Street-500 made in India just because it carries the HD badge over a brilliant little bike like the Honda CB400.
