Have you got any spark testers the ones that light up on top of the spark plug ? I always use them as it rules out coils and leads have you put new plugs in it as they are shit sometimes try the old ones back in , or take one lead of at a time see which cylinder it is ?

This things wrecking my head big time now !!!!! I've junked the pairs system blocking up the pairs ports etc. Put in new exhaust gaskets. !! I raised the needles 1 notch. I think I should have dropped them 1 instead. It ticks over fine. But revs ok it still has the backfire. I'm going back into the carbs tomorrow to try and improve things.

Stu put it back to the standard settings as a base , re check spark plugs as I've had loads of duff ones also I always use spark testers those adapters that go between lead and plug and light up narrowed loads of stuff down for me Or if plugs are set down in head buy the tool that lights when you touch the lead did you check the side stand switch is the ignition barrel fucked
