welcome to the big boys club Ken Don't get ahead of yourself, it's only the "Big van" test he's passed. Still, well done all the same. Welcome to a world of being treated like sh*t by twatish transport offices that haven't got a clue of the job they are supposed to be in charge of. They either can't do the job or "I used to be a driver". NOTE. No driver ever got put in charge of a desk because they were a good driver.

I'm presuming you mean you've passed your "Cat C" test, the old "Class 2".
Basically, any rigid vehicle including a trailer up to 750 kg.
You'll probably be very nervous and have sweaty palms for quite a while when you're out on your own but this will pass as you get used to it.
The only advice I can give you is:
Always give yourself more than enough space when you're doing tight manoeuvres.
Don't be afraid to take a shunt or two when trying to position it.
If it looks tight or you're not sure, get out and have a look. It takes far less time than filling out forms when you've bumped something.
Every twat on the road will cut you up and thinks you can stop in 2ft.
Always lock the cab when you get out. Sat nav's/phone/bag etc can be gone in a second while you're opening the back door/curtains.
DON'T TRY AND RUSH OR "GET YOUR FOOT DOWN". One day it will get you in deep shit and you are the "Professional driver" (They love to try and thrown that one at you).
