Can't go wrong with them Ken, some people complain about surging off the throttle, but I've only experienced that a couple of times under track conditions. I think a lot of it points towards a poorly adjusted accelerator pump, because it can pump too much fuel in at the wrong time, surging the engine on a snap shut throttle. I like them, I have them on my zook and they've been perfect for me in all my uses. Be careful with the float pin posts, they are fairly fragile, don't ask me how I know that. Oh, and get yourself a spare set of float bowl 'o' ring seals/gaskets everytime you want to remove them, it seems that modern fuel blows them up to twice their original size, it's a fucking fight to get them back on.

That makes them high maintenance as well as expensive to buy. Adjustable accelerator pumps eh?? Hmmm that's a pretty neat feature.

No Paddy, you definitely don't. Sometimes you can get away with it, but in my experience it's good to have a set standing by before you start. Carbs are not good things to leave in peices, get them done in a day, that way you won't forget anything. Allens Performance bud, they're Mikuni Importers for everything related. www.allensperformance.co.uk/Edit: the seals are different 1,3,4, are the same 2 is different, just has another cut-out for the pump.

Yep, nice job steve. I repaired mine, it was a right fiddly job. I used a 3mm drill bit and threaded the carb body, knocked up a crude post out of ally, and used a small stud to fit. Was after function rather than being pretty considering it's inside the carb, it has been working ever since.
