I have a mountain of palm leaves up the side of my house. I'd guess at several 5x8 trailer loads that need o go to the dump. That's before I start trimming other trees. I can't get away with burning in the city / bushfire season. Bloody things! Next house I'm going to buy a BIG F#ck-Off size mulcher. I'm over doing dump runs with green waste....

That's a pisser slim, had a similar problem some years ago with 15 trees on our boundary, got way too big. Got about six quotes at the time that varied so much I thought, "fuck it" I'll do it myself.
Was a job and half to do, but luckily had a willing mate who needed the wood, so disposal was his problem.
Hope you get it sorted.

Can it not be cut down and stored on one side of the garden while you build the shed...then dispose of the bits as and when you can??

Chop it down and use the wood to build a log cabin

Ha ha, I have a mate like that, he cant wait for anything, no patients what so ever. He always commends my patients as he would have sold my slabby the first time it didn't start.

I'm a bit like that myself slim, I can wait for things parts etc. But when I've got all the bits as such I have to crack on until it's finished, don't like to stop once I start, that's where my patience gets the better of me.

Well I am now treeless (or out of my tree you decide)
Next problem...... stumps..... I have lit fires on top of a couple in the hope that they will burn out, we will see how that went in the morning
Some of the stumps are too close to the fences for fire to be an option & stump grinding is fecking expensive so any ideas that don't involve me breaking my back with a spade or axe would be welcome, I have 6 big ones that are a particular problem as they are right where the shed base or path to it needs to go I had a problem with a tree stump where I built my shed...I had a mate with a big disc cutter.....now I don't have a tree stump to worry about;-) How far do they stick out of the ground?

Yea just cut into it making pineapple chunks then break them off, then you wont have to dig.

Dig a shallow gulley around the stump then hire a chain saw and cut it below ground level, You can buy a chemical that's killed tree roots from most gardening shops, Once its below ground level put said chemical on it, cover stump with plastic tarp or similar then cover with soil.
