just too throw a spanner in the worx i have a 1216 kit ? that i might sell ?? The DOT head with the 1216 kit would be a good road engine ( if you keep the right side of stupid with the c/r). It would run out of puff before the stock bore but getting there would be fun. Pick a gear, any will do.

Yep, same numbers Which years are you checking mate ...I'm coming up with different part numbers I'll admit I'm running from memory on that one slim. There is a chance I'm wrong but i recall reading a thread on banditforum where they were measured to be the same. Will look into it further...

Well, I've good and bad news on the dot head front. The good news..... I've bought one. It's from a 1988 GSX-R750 with 21K on it The bad news..... It comes with the rest of the engine Never mind. It may be useful to have the spares. I just hope I can stop myself building another bike around it

Yes, the cable is on the RHS of the engine. I've got an '89 engine in my project bike. The cable is rather exposed and ugly. I've been thinking of putting on a Magura hydraulic conversion then I can route the hose up between the carbs...
