Hey fellas, got an invite from Tony Nitrous so thought I'd pop in and see what it's all about. My daily rider is an '82 GS450 I rebuilt and got back on the road about 4 years ago and I'm currently working on an '84 Katana import 750 that I'm putting an 1100 motor in. I've really only just started on the Kat so a long way to go on that one yet. The 450:  And sort of where the Kat is at, still getting bits and pieces together:  |

Cheers for the welcome guys, good to be here! I love me old zuk's...
The 450's a fun little beast to ride, a few non stock items of course! She doesn't look so pretty at the moment, being a daily rider means she doesn't get the cosmetic TLC she really deserves... also a few minor changes like GS500 carbs with stacks and a different tail light too.
I have a proper 1100 Kat motor for the Kat but it looks like she's been run hard and put away wet more than once... or twice. Got some issues in the tranny with backlash and 3rd/4th hard facing coming off, and the crankshaft is just out of spec with runout, so got some work to do there.
The bonus is it looks like the head's been ported though...

Cheers again guys! I'm well aware of the "pic's or it didn't happen" rule  I'm a long termer on the GS Resources and pretty active on a number of other forums. The pipe on the 450 is a one off made by a local mob here called Tranzac, do some top quality work for sure! He got it pretty much perfect as to how I wanted it. |

Well she's not quite stock, that tail piece is a hand made item, pipe's a one off jobby, and there's a few other bits and pieces that are different. This is how she used to look and aside from the solo seat mod and paint job she was all stock...  |
